Gate Latch Yoga Pose

This asana affects the liver meridian, stretching and bringing energy to the liver.

• Come onto your knees and take your left leg out to the side in a straight line, keeping your left heel in line with your right knee.
• Make sure your right hip is directly above your right knee perpendicular to the floor.
• Inhale and take your right arm straight up stretching toward the sky.
• Exhale as you bend to the left taking your left hand on your left leg and extend your right arm over to the left keeping the palm of your right hand facing down.
• Try not to bring your top shoulder forward and keep pressing your hips forward.
• Look upward or straight ahead holding here for several breaths.
• Inhale as you come up and repeat on the opposite side.

Caution: If your neck hurts don’t look up, just look straight ahead or down.
